Read articleChime Labs builds the AI front desk for service businesses. Founded in Sydney in 2025 by former Google engineers Alexis Griveau and Mathew Pretel, the company raised $900,000 in pre-seed funding led by 500 Global to help trades and home-service operators stop losing work to missed calls.
The platform answers every inbound call in natural Australian English, qualifies the job, captures the customer's name, address, urgency and job description, and writes it back into the job management software the business already runs — including ServiceM8, Simpro, ServiceTitan, Jobber and Google Calendar.
Three products sit on the platform: Chime Reception for after-hours and everyday call answering, Chime Overflow for busy phone teams and contact centres, and Chime Coach for spoken practice and call quality review. Chime Labs serves customers in Australia and the United States, with data hosted in Australia and SOC 2 certification in progress.
