    About Chime Labs

We're building the AI-powered back office for service businesses.

Chime Labs was founded in Sydney by two ex-Googlers who saw firsthand how underserved trades and service businesses are by technology. We work with businesses right across Australia, and we're expanding into the US.

    Why we built Chime Labs

AI isn't coming. It's already here. The only question is who it works for.

We think it should work for the people who answer the phone at 7am, who quote the job in the rain, who keep a town's taps running and its lights on. Whether you're a sole trader doing it all yourself, or running teams across a dozen sites with the phones never stopping, the businesses that hold everything together deserve more than to be left behind by the technology reshaping every industry around them.

Going AI-first was the hard part, and we did it so you don't have to. You get technology that's ready on day one: catching the calls you'd have missed, handling the routine, and giving your people their time back for the work only they can do. Here to back your team, not replace them.

In an age where the ground keeps shifting, we're here to give you something solid — technology that works as hard as you do.

    Why we started Chime Labs

The genesis of Chime Labs wasn't a market report. Our co-founder Mat spent 20 years helping manage a family-run construction business: building websites, setting up job management systems, hiring receptionists, chasing invoices, organising quoting. He didn't study the problem. He lived it.

When we started working together, the core issue became clear. Service businesses aren't just fighting an admin problem or a leads problem. They're fighting both at once, and the two make each other worse. More leads means more admin. More admin means less bandwidth. Less bandwidth means more missed calls, and missed calls mean lost work.

Fixing growth without fixing operations just moves the pressure somewhere else. That's why we build both sides together.

    What we're building

    One platform, three products

We started with Chime Reception, an AI receptionist for one clear problem: owners losing work every week to calls nobody could get to. Chime Overflow followed, catching overflow for teams whose phones never stop.

Chime Coach is the newest, giving teams somewhere to rehearse real customer conversations and see where they stand. Same platform, same voice engine, built to back your people rather than replace them.

    Where we work

Built in Sydney, growing into the US

Chime Labs was founded in Sydney and that's still home. We work with trades and service businesses right across Australia, from sole traders through to multi-crew operations, and the product is shaped by the way Australian businesses actually run their day.

We're now actively expanding into the United States, where the same problem shows up at a much larger scale. Same platform, same voice engine, tuned for local accents, phone systems and the job management tools each market runs on.

    Home market
    Australia

Sydney headquarters, customers nationwide, and integrations with the job management systems Australian trades already use.

    Expanding
    United States

Early US rollout underway with home services operators, backed by 500 Global and supported from Sydney.

“Our mission is to build the AI-powered back office for the blue-collar economy, from the first phone call through to quoting, scheduling and the way teams handle customers.”
